Ava Place Family Enjoys Easter Activities

This week we have enjoyed lots of activities! We celebrated Peanut Butter and Jelly day. Our Cooking Club made PBJ sushi rolls! Slinky’s 67th birthday was this week so we had to have some fun with Slinkies!! Friday our Easter celebrations included a wonderful dinner cooked by Amy Adams. She made ham, sweet potatoes, baked beans, green beans, deviled eggs and homemade rolls. Strawberry shortcake was the dessert! What a wonderful meal! Later that day was the Easter Egg Hunt! Perry Taylor our wonderful door man hid 250 eggs! In all those eggs there were two very special eggs, the Gold and Silver eggs! Kim Walker’s nephew Miles found the golden egg and Katrina’s son, Ryan, found the silver egg. Everyone went home with a bag full of goodies! We had refreshments of homemade cookies and cupcakes that were brought to us by Jayma at Three Rivers Hospice. The folks at Ava Place really enjoyed watching the children running around finding eggs. Saturday we had fun preparing colored eggs which we ate at the Sunday morning Easter breakfast. Follow us on facebook and see more pictures!
