A good morning to all our readers. We hope everyone had a good weekend and was safe and happy.
We have had a busy week here at the village. To start with on Thursday was our monthly dinner with Heart of the Ozarks and Ava Place furnishing our meal. Our hats are off to the ladies from Ava Place who came and served us. There was twenty-five names signed on the book with six of them as guests. Carla Wagner and Debra Dade were the ladies from Ava Place. Again, we send our appreciation to all who had a part in our dinner.
Then on Saturday several residents attended the memorial for Verla Hallmark at the Ava Family Funeral Home. Then back to the village to serve dinner to the Hallmark family and guests.
Then Sunday Danny Letsinger came to fill in for Pastor Tom Maples for our Sunday afternoon sing along and the reading of God’s word. We were blessed as a young girl sang a beautiful song for us as her mother played the keyboard.
On Monday afternoon Connie Burris came from Heart of the Ozarks and we had our game day. A lot of our people were at the doctor’s office and could not attend. But our hats are off to Connie as she keeps us on our toes and we look forward to the time she spends with us.
This news from the desk of Lois Graham. Kathy Coats visited Lois Saturday evening. She brought some family pictures for me to see. I had some of my great-great nieces pictures to show her.
This news from the desk of Fae Pruett. Fae’s visitors were Jane Pruett and her girls, Sue Garnder and Ester Todd., Evelyn Witchey, Tammy Gunter and Lois Graham also visited.
On Tuesday we went and ate at Ruby Gardens. Tinsie Paul met us there and ate with us.
Then on Monday Florene Flores from Texas was here. I, “Norma” stopped in to deliver the mail and got to visit with Florene for a short time. It sure was good to see her, a lot of water under the bridge since then. Some of her classmtes will know her as Florene Letterman.
Visitors of Norma Jones have been Amy June, Naomi and Jacob Watkins. They came Friday and built some shelves for Naomi and I. Then Saturday evening we had a cookout at the farm and I, “Norma” spent the night then back to town early Sunday morning for church.
Have a good week and try to stay dry with all the rain.
Until next week, Jesus loves you.
