Sandy Church

Brad Siler, our new Sunday School Superintendent, began our service with prayer requests.  Several were shared and Rick Crum prayed this prayer.  Happy anniversary was sung to Pastor Neal and LeaAnn Crum.  Happy birthday was sung to Frances Humbyrd.

Brad Siler prayed the offertory prayer as he and Stan Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with LeaAnn Crum at the piano.  Several testimonies were shared about the God things in our lives.

LeaAnn Crum sang followed by Pastor Neal who asked, “Is it well with your soul”?  He read from Luke 12.  Jesus was teaching about opposition and how it brings division.  The truth is always truth and it must be divided from evil.  Pastor Neal asked us to pray for our Sunday school program as some changes are coming and also ask the Lord to guide us into new ministries.

Food harvest items were collected.

Sonya Hodges dismissed us with prayer.

Brother Van Menzies was preaching two services at the Eastside General Baptist Church in Springfield.

At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal began with prayer followed by singing.  Kim Humbyrd read the story of the song, “It Is Well with My Soul”, which LeaAnn sang in the morning service.

LeaAnn Crum read from II Kings, the story of the Shunamite woman.  She was promised a son, who later died and Elisha prayed unto the Lord and he was raised to life again.

Pastor Neal read from Luke 13.  Jesus was teaching on repentance.  He said, “I tell you except you repent you shall all likewise perish”, which Jesus repeated.

Next Sunday is our fellowship dinner for February birthdays and anniversaries.

Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer meeting and each Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study.  Come and be with us.  You are always welcome where Jesus is Lord.
