Gentry Church

Opening prayer was by Doug Miller to start our Sunday service.

In our Sunday school class, we studied Galatians 2:15 where the false teachers were trying to force Gentile believers to conform to the law and Paul was teaching them. The law did not save them. It’s our trust and faith in Christ the Saviour and our willing submission to Him as Lord saves us.

Happy Birthday wishes went to Donna Young, Judy Hall and Sharon Ginder.

The church presented Duane Young, Joan Burkdoll and Micca Howard with their baptism certificates along with pictures celebrating their baptisms.

We have changed our times for our Wednesday night service to 6:30 p.m. and our choir practice is Sunday nights at 5 p.m. with the night service starting at 6 p.m.

We had many prayer requests, always remember we are in the hands of a loving God.

Our special song was by Pauline and Joanne Welker.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Matthew 10:28. Fear not the one who kills the body, but not the soul, but fear the one who destroys both.

Teaching about hell is not important in today’s world, but Jesus taught about it, it’s real and forever.

In our evening service, after singing, testimonies and among many prayer requests, remember Ashley Forrest and her family.

Our special song was by Rod, Wanda and Joanne Welker.

We welcomed our visitor, Kay Hart.

Remember our Valentine Sweetheart dinner, February 11 at 6 p.m. with games and fun.

Bro. Hall’s evening message is from Revelations 21:1-7. Jesus went to prepare a place for us. We will have a new Jerusalem, the holy city, we shall be God’s people and He will be our God. He that overcometh shall inherit and all things will be made new. God is the beginning and the end.
