12-Year-Old Is Victim of
Douglas County Sheriff Gary Koop said this week that the shooting death of a 12-year-old Douglas County youth was an accident.
Noah Cleghorn, of the Drury community in eastern Douglas County, died of a gunshot last Friday evening. Sheriff Koop said the shooting was reported to his office around 7 p.m.
Koop said two youngsters, ages 12 and 13, were playing with a gun when it accidentally fired, striking the 12-year-old and killing him. The name of the other youth was not released.
