Local Artist Honored at Gallery Show,
Juanita Herrell, of Ava, far left, showcased a fine art presentation during a reception held at Hawthorn Galleries in Springfield last Thursday evening. On display was a seven-piece mural entitled, "The Seven Days Of Creation". The piece was commissioned by Dr. Ruth Grant and Dr. Howard Schwartz, and will be placed at The Temple Israel in Springfield.
Shown above, from left, are Herrell, Evelyn and Charles Cantwell, Dorothy and David Norman, all of Ava, and in back, Steve Stamp of Ohio, Juanita's son-in-law.
The mural will be on display at the gallery through Tuesday, Sept. 23. Hawthorn Galleries is located at 214 East Walnut Street.
