Formal Charges Still Pending In
Ava Police Sgt. Denny Hall said Wednesday that he is still in the process of gathering paperwork and concluding the investigation in what has been termed the BB Bandit case in Ava.
Police say formal charges will be filed as soon as property owners get estimates on repairs and the paperwork is processed at the police department.
Some eight different stores had windows broken by shots from a BB gun over a period of a few weeks. The apparent violator was taken into custody by Sgt. Keith Jones of the Missouri State Highway Patrol last week following a traffic stop, and the individual has allegedly confessed to the BB caper.
Sgt. Hall says charges will be filed soon, and at that time the name of the suspect will be released.
