CBCO Blood Drive Monday, Sept. 15

Sep 4, 2008

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will conduct a blood drive at the Scroll Compressors (Copeland) plant in Ava next Monday, Sept. 15, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Late last week CBCO issued a Code Yellow Alert for O Positive and O Negative blood types. Administrators say it takes over 275 donations every day to meet the needs of patients in 36 area hospitals.

This blood drive is open to all donors and is not restricted to employees of Scroll Compressors.

All eligible donors are urged to visit the blood site on Sept. 15. Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health, and present required ID. A single blood donation can save the lives of up to three people.
