‘Care To Learn’ Project Launched at Ava R-1

Some 50 people from the Ava community, including several school administrators and employees, attended the kick-off program for the Care to Learn project Monday at a noon luncheon meeting on the school campus. Sara Lampe (standing at far left in the photo above), deputy director of Care to Learn, gave an overview of the purpose of the project. Crystal Quade, director of Chapter Services, spoke on the targeted areas of health, hunger and hygiene, and Linda Ramey-Greiwe, executive director, talked about what the program would do for Ava specifically. The three women then led the group in a brainstorming session, and finally, those in attendance were asked to participate in one of several committees that will be formed to facilitate the program for Ava R-1 School District.
