The party was given by her children February 10, 2013 in the basement of the Masonic Lodge.
Hellen’s favorite color is green so the tables had white cloth and green ribbon down the middle, the cakes were white trimmed with green around the edges and bottom and Happy Birthday in green.
Monica Reemes and Nina Carter set it up the night before. There were 65 in attendance. My three sisters, Dale and Mollie McPheeters, Margaret Allen and daughter, Brenda Henslee, Jimmie and Katie Moulder, Monica Reemes, her mother-in-law, Lucy Glaze, Mark and Sherry Blakey an Mark Weston, Chad and Laura Blakey, Dustin and Kelsey Seaborn, Vernal and Ellen Blakey, Ellis and Marsha Blakey, Chase Blakey, Blythe and Chesnea, Johnathan and Annie Blakey and Alexia, Kristie Blakey and Lakota, Kendra Dering, Brittany Kutz, Tara Coonce and Jett, Anita Smith, George and Violet Blakey, Brian and Teresa Blakey, James and Jayana Christensen, Katty and Daisy, Elijah Young, Jewell Elliott, Kay Hutchison, Jo Stephens, Ric and Lisa Englehardt, Tom and Mary Martha Williams, Marie Dickey, Carol Moore, Sally Prock, Wally and Shirley Jessen, Shirley Emerson, Amelia and friend, Allie Sallee, Mary Goss, Carla Wagner, Andrea Shea, Cacelia and Dalilah, Dwayne and Lora Kay Davis, Donna Nichols, and at last Nina Carter who helped Monica and she took pictures which I really appreciated.
I got a few extra cards that were brought by other people and gifts. They were all nice and between them and the ones I received in the mail I have 42 all together.
My birthday was February 13, and on that day James Blakey came and wished me a Happy Birthday and we took pictures and Mark came then I received calls from Monica Reems, Mollie McPheeters, Sherry and Mark Blakey, Ellis Blakey and I talked with Mary Martha Williams and she said Happy Birthday, Marie Dickey, Freeda Richards, Katie Moulder, Margaret Allen, Marsha Blakey, that evening at 5:30 Nina Carter came by and took me to see the new digital version of Lincoln and after it was over we stopped by Jam Dandy Studio and they sang Happy Birthday to me.
On Valentine’s Day I received four belated birthday calls from Lakota Blakey, Toni and Polly from Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Chuck and Karen Vaughn and Linda Perry.
