Sunday school opened with congregational singing. Bro.Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Sis. Lorrinda Coulter led in prayer. Jack read Psalms 107:1-9 for devotion.
After Sunday school Happy Birthday was sung to Bobby Combs. God bless him. Happy Anniversary was sung to Lorrinda Coulter. God bless her and Etcyl. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty and Melba Austin. We then proceeded to congregational singing. We may be small in number, but God blesses. Charlee Lafferty and Melissa Harmon did a special as well as a visitor. We were glad for the visitors. Pastor Bill Austin brought our morning message from Hab. 3:1-3 and Psalms 85:4. O Lord revive your works. Our nation needs revival. To be Christians we must walk in the ways of Christ then will the Lord show us mercy. It is good to have a God-called man to fill our pulpit.
March 3 at 6 p.m. the Goodhope Pickers will be at Caney Church. Come be with us at this special time. You will be welcome. Bring your favorite snack, musical instrument and join in the fellowship.
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Jim Lafferty took charge of the service. Bro. Hi Lambeth led us in prayer. Jim Lafferty, Janice Lafferty and Melba Austin all gave testimonies. Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker. Sunday evening he brought his message from Joshua 23:1-6 and Matthew 5:17-18. Know that God is fighting for you. Be couragous and follow after what the Bible says. Anything that keeps you from God, church is an idol, God has not failed in one promise. He will keep them all. Make your choice today to live for God because He promises all eternal life in one place or the other. It’s your choice, Christ gave His all for you to live for Him.
We had several out today. We really missed them. We are praying you’ll be with us Sunday.
