Psalms 143:8, ” Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.” I love some of these prayers of David’s and we’re told that God will not withold any good thing from us who walk upright.
This is a beautiful Monday morning, the sun has been shining every since I got up.
We enjoyed our weekend as I was feeling better and we went to Albany’s girls 5th and 6th grade basketball game and then Addison came home and had lunch with us. Jerry and I left early and shopped a little in Ozark and ate a catfish dinner there and went on to the early show in Oldfield as they were a group from Ava performing. Next month’s early show will also be from Ava also.
We had a wonderful service at Faith Rock both services. We all took part in the Sunday school lesson on prayer. We had lots of prayer request for the sick and are believing in God to answer prayer on their behalf. Pastor Benny brought a good message I Corinthians 6:15, Solomon 8:5-7, I Samuel 18:5-15, Acts 16:16-18. The message was about jealousy, how it happend to King Saul as he became jealous of David. The spirit of God was upon David and he was much loved by the people and how jealousy can rise up.
Sunday night we had lots of good music with Bro. Victor Murdy leading our singing and he and Bro. Carson are both wonderful guitar players as our other musicians. We were blessed to have Bro. Ross Martin back after a long illness, but we missed his sweet wife, Sister Earnestine, and hope she will be back soon. We had special singing from our visitor who also does sign language. Sis. Lena sang and Sister Dee, Bro. Roland and Ross, Sis. Loretta and Bro. Murdy and Sis. Carol Carson.
Faith Rock will be in Revival starting Sunday, March 3rd at 7 p.m. each night except Sunday, which will be at 6 p.m. The evangelist is Bro. Stan Wallis from Salem, MO.
The Fourth Sunday singing with Sybil Gheer will be February 24th at 2 p.m. at Faith Rock. I hope everyone will feel welcome to come and take part.
Our quilters sent six quilts and pillows last week and food items to the burn out victims in Ozark. The family there have five children and I believe the grandparents also lived with them, but the family had lost everything in the fire. I was wishing we hadn’t given away all the items in our big garage to Springfield. We would have had lots of clothes and odds and ends to give them.
I want to send out congratulations to Bro. Michael Young from the C of O. This is his second year of college there and their choir is priviledged to get to fly to England to perfrom before the queen in London next month. This is Bro. Glen and Sis. Wanda Ray’s grandson. They will have the opportunity of a lifetime to perform several different places while there those seven days. Wish him the best.
I forgot to mention we got to hear Tony Beason and granddaughter at Oldfield Opry last Saturday night. We remembered him from Channel 3 News several years ago.
Have a blessed week everyone and come out to the music at our live theatre starting in March here in Ava.
