Here it is Monday the 28th of January already, time is flying by. We had a few sprinkles of rain yesterday. We really need a good rain.
Pete and Sandra Jenkins came up from Fayetteville, Arkansas Tuesday to spend the day with me.
Norma Cross and I went to the nursing home Wednesday. We visited with Irene Richards, Goldie Miller and Peggy Jenkins. Peggy got some relief from the pain in her back after Randy took her to the doctor in Springfield last week. She still hasn’t got back to feeling good yet. Norma goes up to check on her often.
There was ballgames last week at Plainview and Bradleyville. I went to watch Kyle, my grandson, he is in fourth grade. He got to play some with the fifth and sixth grades.
Friday Norma and I went to Springfield with Juanita Herrell, to get her eyes tested. I was too tired to go to the Stained Glass Theatre with several people from Goodhope Baptist Church. They said it was good. Maybe I can make it next time.
Kenny Hunt came down and did a few things for me Saturday morning. I really appreciated it. Of course, Kelly and DeAnn and the kids are always here to help out, don’t know what I would do without my loved ones.
My grandchildren and greats came down from Springfield and Forsyth Saturday afternoon to spend some time with me, Holly and Trenton Tubbs, Finnaly, Milo and Lela, and Matt and Phoenix Maloney. It was a beautiful day so they could play outside believe it or not. They didn’t get in the branch. They all love to come down here where they can play. They live in town so they don’t have a lot of room to play.
There was 77 in church at Goodhope General Baptist Sunday. Pastor David Welsh continued his preaching on the “Cross.”
Sunday evening Jeffery Tanner preached on Redeemed from Hosea 6:1-5. He used several other scriptures to make his point. This young man is right on track, he has been talking to the youth group on Sunday evenings at 5 p.m.
There was several people out of church Sunday because of sickness and traveling. Tom Brown was in the hospital. He came home Friday. Diana told me he was a little better last evening.
Psalm 37:4-5, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desire of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
