Saturday night at 6:30 a few came together for the annual business meeting. I think everything stayed the same again this year. It is amazing how good our God is.
At 9:30, we began our Lord’s Day with prayer. Brad Siler began the service with prayer requests for lost loved ones, Bob Siler, Chloe Wilson, Anita Smith, the Turner family, and Brad and Carole Gott. Doyle Humbyrd prayed thus prayer. On Wednesday, we had a meal for the Gott and Loftin family at the church. They were a part of our church family for many years.
Happy birthday was sung to Jerry Pitts and may he have many more.
Jim Harris prayed the offertory prayer as he and Danny Johnson received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with Elane Crum at the piano.
Pastor greeted each one and asked for praises and testimonies to be shared.
Danny Johnson testified and sang, which blessed him and all of us.
Pastor read from Ezra 4, a continuation of fasting lesions. It was Sanctity of Life Sunday as we had a special speaker, LeaAnn Crum, the founder and director of Options Pregnancy Clinic of Ava. She gave her personal testimony and shared facts about abortions in our land. She has the heart for this great ministry and things are going well. God is so good. Four babies have been born this year. Let us continue prayer and funds for this ministry.
At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing. Praises and testimonies were shared as some were finishing up their 21 days of Daniel’s fast. We had visitors, Tommy and Ernie Smith, from Marshfield. Ernie sang three songs for us. They are friends of Pastor Neal and his family.
LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang.
Pastor Neal continued teaching on fasting from Ezra.
Each Tuesday is special prayer meeting and each Wednesday is Bible Study at 7 p.m.
