Our morning service opened with Sister Naomi greeting us with a good morning to all. We are doing something new by saying the pledges to the American flag, the Christian flag and the Bible. We sang for Jesus and had many prayer requests. Prayer was led by Sister Peggy…Sister Patsy read scripture from II Samuel 22:31-37.
Sunday school started with Sister Mary being the leader and reading the lesson from Ephesians 1:1-23. We had a lot of class comments and discussion. A very good chapter.
Our ‘Coins for Christ’ was taken up by two young men. It is good to see these young men in church. Our church needs the young people so we can see our church grow…
Time to sing for the Lord. The choir was in good voice, we gave our gifts to the Lord. Sister Juanita blessed the gifts. We had specials from Sister Sharron, Sister Peggy and Sister Juanita.
Bro Gregg brought the morning message from Job 37:23&24, 38:1-7 and 42:1-6. It was a good message from the Lord. We closed with a song. We were dismissed by Sister Ulla.
Our evening service started with our prayer circle. We had one of our largest prayer circles that I can remember. It was a real blessing from the Lord…I pray that it continues to grow. We had many prayer requests and prayer was led by Sister Juanita.
We sang for the Lord and had our specials. Bro. Gregg led in prayer and then turned it over to our speaker for the service. Bro Terry Bennett and his wife Patty, were visiting with us. Bro Terry brought the message for the evening service. He used several scriptures; Luke 4:18, Leviticus 25:8&9 and Joshua 6:16. A good message from the Lord. We closed with a song and prayer from Sister Patsy.
After the service, we gathered in the fellowship room and had cake and ice cream to celebrate the people who had birthdays in the month of January. The bowling at Mtn. Grove was a real success. It was a real blessing for everyone.
Remember the quarterly meeting will be held Friday night, January 25th at 7:30 p.m. It will be held at Leadhill Freewill Baptist Church in Mansfield.
We will be having our 4th Saturday night singing this Saturday night, the 26th at 7:00 p.m. Come join us at Happy Home Church. Bring your songs, instruments and we will have fellowship and sing praises to the Lord.
