The Ava High School class of 1953 met at the Mansfield Home Center meeting room in Ava on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012. It was such a wonderful place to meet and the class appreciates them making it available to them.
There were 16 classmates present plus spouses and other graduates of Ava.
The tables were filled with plenty of goodies and one could hardly hear themselves think with so much sharing going on.
Loren Haden acted as MC, leading the blessing of the food as well as thanks for safe travel for all.
The class is still a family and will always remain as such, and feel so blessed to have this many present as they will celebrate their 60th anniversary year this spring.
Those attending the 1953 Christmas party on Dec. 6 were:
Bob and Violet (Campbell) Sell, Chester and Iris Ann (Day) Jenkins, Harold and Eva (Henson) Phillips, Franklin and Louise Mackey, Loren and Delveta Haden, Ray and Alice Brown, Catherine (Stephens) Mallernee, Ellen (Heinlein) Lakey, Evelyn (Singleton) Cantwell, Lavon (Woolsey) Carter, Lorene (Bowman) Christin, Ruth (Willis) Thompson, Donna Sue (Herrell) Trogden, Juanita Herrell, Betty Morris, Bob Siler, Stanley Stillings, and Harold Futrell and son.
