We came together this morning to worship and lift up our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and also to encourage each other for the week ahead. Our worship band this morning sang a song and just thinking about that morning when we may be called home is going to be a happy time, if all my family was ready to go I would really be ready to leave this world. Pastor Buddy brought us another good message from the book of James titled Tame That Thang. It was a message that I know that I needed to hear on taming our tongue from James chapter 3. Our tongue is small but so powerful, it will trip us up more than anything else. It is also more influential than any other member of our body. Our mouth is connected to our mind. If we are a believer in God then our speech should show it, if we have idle faith we will probably have an idle mouth. Our tongue can be satanic, it will corrupt the whole body if we don’t give our ears to gossip, then our tongue won’t follow to repeat it. Our tongue is such a restless evil. A lot of the time our tongue is polluted, we may not cuss but we curse or talk negative about our brothers and sisters in Christ or about our jobs,or our finances or just people in general. To talk right our thought life must be right and to keep our tongue from escaping we need to have wisdom in God’s Word. Don’t just talk about wisdom, but we need to show it in our lives . The way we act will show how much God is in control of you. Our earthly wisdom and our mouth will always get us into trouble. It was another great message that I enjoyed. There was a lot more, but I can’t bring out everything Pastor Buddy gave to us today. Come and hear this man of God for yourself you will be blessed.

Thought for the week; If you wouldn’t write it and sign it, don’t say it.
