Those arriving at Bonnie Phipps’ home for Christmas was Debbie Cederling and her two daughters, Chris and Courtnie Vigessa, Wylie and Weslie, Moe and Kaylynn Todd and Alaya and Roy and Linda Freeman and Cecilia Edwards. The Vigessa family was a surprise to Bonnie, they had come in to Springfield last Wednesday to Kaylynn Todd’s home.
Mike and Wendee Freeman and famiy went to see Cody and Lily Freeman’s new baby, which was born December 18, and was named Ezra David and he weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz. That sure was a good Christmas present for Grandfather Mike and Grandmother Wendee. Bonnie said they were looking for Lonnie and Pamela Crim, Logan, Alexa and Paola to come in the day after Christmas.
Monday the 24th, George and Violet came by and visited and got their eggs, Nina Carter came by with a Christmas gift, Kay picked up my news and then that evening she stopped by and gave me the gift from the Herald, I appreciate it Kay. Mark and Mark Weston came and brought me their Christmas gift because they were fixing a Christmas meal for their family.
Christmas Day Joel and Monica Reemes were my dinner guests, Marsha was sick so Ellis stayed with her, but she got to feeling a little better that evening and they came and got their Christmas gifts and Chase and his family’s gifts. James and Lakota came up and visited that evening and brought me a gift from them and the girls and their families.
I had a phone call from my sisters, Mollie McPheeters and Katie Moulder and brother, Bernie Simmons.
George and Violet came by on their way to town Wednesday and picked up some cheese that Vernal had left here for them.
I called Mae Cox Christmas evening after Monica and Joel had left and wished her a Merry Christmas and she told me that Bessie Hall had passed away that morning. The church people took food down to Jewell’s home Thursday so I stopped by Ruth Shumate’s and picked her food up and took it down to Jewell Elliott’s.
I got my hair cut with some of the money that Vernal and Ellen gave me and I was needing it.
Mike and Charlotte Bock, Tom and Mary Martha Williams and Marie Dickey attended Barnie Douglas’ funeral Thursday.
My dryer went out on me so Joel and Monica Reemes and Vernal and Ellen Blakey bought me a new one. Vernal brought it down Saturday and Mark, Sherry and Mark Weston came over and Mark helped get in in the house. Mark is going to get it changed over to propane gas.
Christmas Eve my door bell rung and Grace Three Eagle stood there with a big fruit basket and is the fruit ever good.
Bonnie Phipps said Friday evening that her family all met at the Pizza Hut for a get-together. Those present were Bonnie Phipps, Cecilia Edwards, Debbie Cederling, Moe and Kaylynn Todd and Alaya, Chris and Courtnie Vigessa, Wylie and Weslie, Roy and Linda Freeman, Michael and Wendee Freeman, Matt, Madison, Sydnee and Alexis, Lonnie and Pamela Crim, Logan, Alexa and Paola.
I talked to Vernal Sunday afternoon and he said they were taking Ellen’s mother to the hospital. They are running tests to see what is going on.
Sunday night Johnathan and Annie Blakey and Alexia, Justin and Tara Coonce and Jett came and got the rest of the Christmas presents that was left under the tree and when they left Mark and Sherry and Mark Weston came and brought me some eggs and visited with them too.
Dennis Posey came by and picked up his carrot cake.
Our prayers goes out to all our sick folks that are in the hospital and at home. Keep praying for them.
My prayers and sympathy goes out to the Bessie Hall families and the Barnie Douglas families and all the others that were in the paper this week.
Lets keep our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in our prayers.
