December 5 – Wednesday evening began with singing. Bro. Jim Lafferty took charge of the service. Prayer requests and praise reports were shared. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer.
Bro. Jim read Jer. 3:6-19. We are failing God in so many ways. We are disobedient and unrepentant. We are a backsliding nation. Our nation needs to turn back to God and His ways, was his thought.
We had a good discussion with wonderful scriptures and good thoughts. We may be few in number, but God meets with us as we try to learn more of His word.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were taken. We have many concerns. Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Jack read Ephesians 3:14-21 for our devotion.
After a good discussion in Sunday school Maddie Shipley sang for us while the offering was received. Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jeff Shipley, Kelli Clemans, Bill Austin and Hi Lambeth.
Congregational singing began the service. Those singing specials today were Ethel Metcalf, Maddie Shipley and friend, Cheyenne Lawhead, Melissa Harmon and Hi Lambeth. Pastor Bill Austin asked Bro. Hi to lead us in prayer. Pastor brought His message from Luke 22:31-35 and James 3:13-18. We can be and are being destroyed by lack of knowledge. Jesus is alive and well and He will supply all our needs. The world seems to be lacking in knowledge and wisdom. Do you know the way of salvation? Christ died for you. Just ask and you will receive. Everyone commented on how beautiful our church was decorated for Christmas.

Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Bill Austin and Ethel Metcalf. Ethel Metcalf did a special singing. Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker. Sunday evening he brought his message from Deuteronomy 30:10-20.
Read the Bible and you will find the commandments of God. We can make our own choices – life and good/ death and evil. We are a blessed nation only because of the efforts and prayers of the remnant. God is getting ready to come again. Are you ready to go with Him? Pray for our nation that they will turn back to God.
