In the absence of Brother Ric, we had Brother Raymond Haden preach both services for us, Sunday. He used several scriptures in his message about the gospel. We appreciate Raymond and Naida singing for us in the evening service. We appreciated having John and Jo Stephens in the evening service.
Mae Cox had a call from Jack Haden, of Republic, also visited with her brother, Cletis and Lavon, who were visiting their family in Colorado. Tom and Donna Nichols, Lisa Johnson and Jesse were Mae’s visitors this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bryan were hosts for their annual Mt. Tabor Church christmas party, Saturday evening. After a wonderful evening meal, the group gathered in the family area for games and fellowship. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Elliott, MaKayla and Logan Elliott, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hathcock, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hutchison, and Hellen Blakey.
MaKayla and Logan Elliott spent Saturday night with Tom and Jewell Elliott and also attended church with the great-grandmother, Jewell. Lloyd Tate visited the Elliotts, Tuesday afternoon.
Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock are glad to report their son-in-law, Eleazar Soto, made a safe trip to Mexico and back over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Bessie Hall’s visitors of late were Jo Stephens, Bonita Stafford, Donna Hall, Lauren and Hunter Hall, Evelyn Bryan, Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Freeda Richards, Tom and Jewell, J.C.and Vicky, Kim and Danny and Kay Hutchison.
Geneva Stewart came to visit Harold and Kay Hutchison, Monday afternoon. Harold’s family and Geneva’s family, the Herds, have been friends for many, many years in the Shiloh, Thornfield, area. Dan, Kim, Morgan, Dylan and Sarah came by later in the afternoon for awhile.
