Sunday morning service was opened with the band playing a selection of gospel music. Prayer requests were taken then prayer by Brother Roberts. Donna Lewis brought the beautiful special song.
Brother Roberts brought the message from James 1:21-25, Hebrews 4:12, 12:1, Matthew 7: 21-27, “Mirror, Mirror.”
Sunday evening service was the 4th Sunday singing and we enjoyed several good special songs and congregational hymns.
Those visiting in our home this week were Donna Bannister, Stacie Hamby, Earnie and Helen Cook, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams and Pauline Okhuysen.
Helen helped me decorate the Christmas tree then we went shopping and brought lunch back home from Mc Donald’s.
Noah Deatherage and friend C.R. from Alabama are visiting Noah’s dad and mom, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage .
I have been busy making candies and sewing crafts for the craft sale. I made coconut bon bons, peanut butter balls, chocolate covered cherries, peanut brittle, chocolate fudge with black walnut goodies, peanut butter fudge and divinity.
Delmar and I sure enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with Mike and Stacie Hamby and family and friends then we enjoyed another delicious Thanksgiving supper with my granddaughter, Randy and Tabitha Burton, also, Raylee, Caydee and Jaycee Burton, Gary and Bevy Moore, Eldon Bice, Gary and Linda Burton. We were full to the brim but sure enjoyed the visiting too.
Those having Thanksgiving dinner with Vern and Kathleen Deatherage were Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Wilma Potts, Chris Grogan, Noah Deatherage and friend C.R. Klinner.
Delmar and I enjoyed attending the celebration for Jack and Barb Breshears’ 50th anniversary on Saturday afternoon. We got to visit with several who we don’t see very often. We wish the happy couple a long and healthy continuation of their marriage.
