Brad Siler led us in our devotion reading from Deuteronomy 4. Prayer requests were given for Danny Cutbirth, Van Menzies preaching at Lone Star Church, the Suter family, our nation and lost loved ones. Juanita Menzies prayed this prayer.
Happy birthday was sung to Makinna Humbyrd, who was seven that day. She is the daughter of Aaron and Jenin Humbyrd, granddaughter of Stan and Kim Humbyrd, great granddaughter of Doyle and Frances Humbyrd and Peggy Miller, all in our church family.
Clay McFarlin prayed the offertory prayer as he and Kevin Hodges received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.
Pastor Neal asked for testimonies of thanksgiving and some were given. Debbie Pitts thanked the church for praying for her grandson, Drayden Boyd. Danny Johnson led us in Our God is Real. Pastor Neal read from Luke, the story of one who followed a far off, Peter, who denied the Lord three times just as Jesus said he would. The Lord then turned and looked at Peter, who remembered and went out and wept bitterly.
Brad Siler dismissed us in prayer.
At 6 p.m., Stan Humbyrd prayed our opening prayer before singing and testimonies were given.
LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang. Neal read from Psalms and Isaiah several scriptures concerning the suffering of our Savior, Jesus.
Next Sunday is Food Harvest collection. December 9th at 4 p.m. will be our annual community Christmas dinner. December 16 we will be caroling in the area to shut-ins and delivering fruit baskets.
Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer meeting and each Wednesday is Bible study in the book of Exodus at 7 p.m.
