I hope everyone had a blessed thanksgiving. We should be thankful all the time for God’s blessings on us.
This morning we had special prayer for Danny Cutbirth as he was in an accident and is in I.C.U. in Springfield.
Pastor Buddy brought us another good message this morning from James 1-19-27. It was on receiving the Word, practicing the Word, and sharing the Word. When we receive the Word we should be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath. When we receive the Word it is more than just hearing it. When we practice the Word we will examine ourselves, we will be restored, and we will be transformed. When we share the Word it will be through our speech, through our service, seeing other people’s needs and we will be separated from this world . If our heart is right with God then our speech will be right also. God sends us into the world to win it not to let the world into us. The Word of God washes us from the dirt of this world. The blood of Christ saves us from sin then we should let the Word transform us into the Christian we need to be. Pastor Buddy brought out some great points in his sermon today.
Come be with us and you will find a place to find Christ, to know Christ, and to serve Christ.
I would like to send my appreciation to Brother and Sister Emery Tuttle for doing the breakfast every Sunday morning at 9:30, it is always good and we enjoy the time of fellowship as well as the food they fix. Our services are at 8:30 and 11:00 with Sunday School at 10:00 Sunday night at 6:00 and Wednesday night prayer and Bible study at 7:00.
Thought for the week; More Christians need to say,”What must I do?” instead of saying, ”I want nothing to do.”
