We came to the house of the Lord today to worship and praise the Lord of Lord’s and King of King’s. Before we get to the sermon that Pastor Buddy brought us today we would like to send out our condolences to Sister Laura Kay Davis as she lost her sister last week, we are praying for God’s comforting arms around the whole family. Also we missed Brother and Sister Greg Reese being with us this Sunday as he had back surgery Thursday and was still in the hospital this Sunday.
Don’t forget about COLLIDE this Wednesday night at 6:30 at the performing arts center by the high school.
Our band this morning sang a song.
Pastor Buddy brought us a good message on understanding trials and temptations from James 1:2-4 . We all are going to have trials in our lives, it doesn’t say if you encounter trials, but when you encounter trials. God uses trials to show you how strong He is. God sustained Job through all his trials and at the end there was a reward for Job for being faithful and believing God was big enough. There will be no maturing without you being tested. Probably our finances will bring more trials and temptations than anything else in our lives. If we could get an eternal focus on our finances we could count it all joys when we have trials whether we are poor or rich it all belongs to God. If we keep looking for the Crown of life that we have waiting for us at the end of this life we can count on having joy through our trials . When we stick close to God through out trials He has that crown of life waiting for us at the end . Any sin that we do will lead to the death of something. Sin always leads to death. Just remember God is always the same. He is nothing but good and wants to bless us. Pastor Buddy always brings us a good message from God every Sunday to guide and lead us.
