Sunday morning service began with the Praise Team leading in some songs. Brother Roberts took prayer requests for several who were sick or saddened by the loss of a loved one.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Hebrews 3: 12-13 and 10:24-25, “Are you a basement person or balcony person? Basement people are not from God and are a discouragement to people. Always negative about everything. Balcony people are full of love and lift you up by encouraging you.”
Gathering at the home of Bob and Nora Edwards for dinner on Sunday to celebrate Kendra Walker’s birthday were Kendra Walker, Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Shelden Walker, Breanne Potter, Miranda Milligan, Shawn and Alexis Swearengin. Others visiting the Edwards during the week were, Miranda, Shawn and Alexis and Braxton, Ray Cunningham, Sheila Grey, Shelden and Kendra Walker.
Nora Edwards visited Arleen Henningsen and Joyce Erickson one day during the week.
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Becky Burton and Wanda Moore and a good friend, William Albright Sr.
Delmar and I enjoyed a relaxed evening of visiting and a meal cooked by my brother and sis, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage. He cooked beans, fried potatoes and sweet potatoes on the open fire outside. While we were visiting, we were privileged to see a young deer.
On Sunday, Delmar and I visited with Gary and Bevy Moore then took lunch to Mansfield and shared a meal with Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams.
I got word today that Patsy Dickens was moved from St. Johns Hospital to an extensive care unit. We pray that she is well soon.
My Uncle Mack Miller is in the hospital at Cox South with pneumonia.
We are sorry to hear that David Hamby was injured while lifting weights and had to have some stitches in his face.
Those visiting in our home this week were Donna Bannister, Pauline Okhuysen, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams and Wilma Hamby.
