We are having a pretty nice fall so far this year. By now most of the leaves have fallen off, but the grass is still green.
Saturday morning the deer hunters met at our house, but I didn’t see a deer. Kenny Hunt, took Seth up in our field and Julian Cavalier went with Savannah up on the west hill. Don’t know if she went hunting Sunday or not. Tim Jenkins took Seth up by where he used to live. He saw one, but didn’t get a shot at it. They came in early because of church.
Freeda Richards, Dick and Pauline Richards had lunch with Norma Cross last week.
Arlene Henningsen is improving every day Janice Hawkins reported yesterday in church.
Lisa Richards has been supplying Dick with perssimmon bread. He has really enjoyed it.
Russ Ryan and Amanda came down from St. Louis Friday to do some work and cleaning on their house. The last renters left it very dirty. They spent two days on it getting it ready to rent again. Russ is the son of the late Paulette (Richards) Ryan, grandson of the late Jack Richards and Irene. His dad, Ron Ryan lives in Arkansas.
We have new neighbors in Tony Richards mobile home. They moved in Friday and Saturday.
Norma Cross has been to Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center several times to see how Peggy Jenkins is doing. She still has a lot of pain. One day she visited with Goldie Miller and Irene Richards.
Scott Richards from Cape Girardeau, Missouri called his dad this morning. He was telling him that he and his son-inlaw, was preparing to go deer hunting at his camp west of Cape.
Goodhope General Baptist opened worship in singing. 67 were in attendance. Mike Woodall was back with us after having back surgery. Worship service began with singing. Misty, Holly, Kimberley, Brenda and Katie all sang. Pastor David used the following scripture for his sermon – Hebrews 12:1-2 and Eccl. 3.
Tom and Sue, Ervin and Lodean and Dianne drove to Mountain Grove for Sunday dinner at Ron and Judy and Jerry Lethco’s. Rod, Lisa and Kayli Brown were also guests. November 4 was Ervin and Lodean’s 12th anniversary. All had a good time visiting enjoying each other’s company.
A nice turn out of people at Ava Family Theatre Thursday night to hear “Faithful” and “Corn Cob Husky”. Arlene made an appearance. Ervin Schultz helped some. Good time was had by all.
Saturday Tom and Sue Brown and Ervin and Lodean Schultz drove to Ozark to Rib Crib and enjoyed lunch to celebrate Ervin and Lodean’s 12th anniversary.
Friday, Rodney and Kayli Brown and Dianna Garrison got some wood up for Tom and Sue.
Then Kaylie helped Dianna get up some wood. Kayli enjoyed helping Dianna feed and looking at cattle.
Psalm 139:23, “Search me, O God, and know my heart, try me, and know my thoughts.”
