Another beautiful Lord’s day, as we began with singing some wonderful old hymns of the church. We had many prayer requests, some sick, some bereaved, always many dealing with problems, put each one on your prayer list. We appreciated having Brother Ric and Lisa’s two daughters and families with us for the morning service.
Brother Ric read from Mark, telling how James and John’s mother asked to have her sons sit on the left and right hand of Jesus. Sometimes our wants get completely out of line with what our needs are.
Bessie Hall’s visitors this past week were Lisa Johnson, Jewell Elliott, J.C. Hall, Vicky Burnett, Kim Clements, Tim Hall, Lauren and Hunter, and Kay Hutchison. Bessie enjoyed calls from grand-daughter, Bonita Winingham, of Nebraska, and Jan Hall, her sister-in-law,of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Lisa Johnson, Tom and Donna Nichols and Tim Hall were Mae Cox’s company last week.
Tom and Jewell Elliott attended the birthday party for Logan Elliott, who turned 6 on November 1.
Tom and Jewell also attended a birthday party for Albert Elliott in the home of daughter, Carla and Jim Hearod, in the Arno community.
Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock had their daughters, Ronda and Eleazar Soto, and Pat Smith and son, Jim Hathcock and grandson, Jack Lafferty, as visitors this week.
James Elliott visited his parents, Tom and Jewell, Saturday.
Perry Pool and Roger Pool visited with Harold and Kay Hutchison, Monday evening.
Tom and Jewell Elliott were both seeing their doctors in Springfield, Monday.
