October is leaving us along with cooler weather and lots of falling leaves! In “bare pastures cattle have been eating some of the leaves to survive due to the past months of hot and dry weather and not enough moisture.
The ones who lost loved ones recently have our deepest sympathy.
Tecumseh Fire Dept. Auxilary is serving their annual Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, Saturday, November 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
Rainbow’s End “lunch with Erma” is from 11:00 to 2:00 Friday and Saturdays through December 8th also.
Our potluck dinner at Lilly Ridge Church (bi-monthly) is this coming Sunday after morning services November 4th.
Following Sunday evening services our church business meeting will be held.
We return to Standard time Sunday morning and gain the hour of sleep we lost last March. It’s hard to figure out why we have to go through this as it doesn’t seem to be a benefit to anyone.
Happy Anniversary to Dave and Karen Davis November 5th on their 53rd!
Happy Birthday to my grandson in Salina, Kansas on November 5th also, his 44th! Marty Pitcock and wife visited me last June 30th when celebrating my birthday for July 1st.
Granddaughter, Dana Taylor, has been helping me rake the many leaves that have fallen.
Paralee Rea has been busy keeping on the go quite often. Last week she accompanied Jim and Terri McConnaughy and Joy Cutbirth to West Plains to attend an Eastern Star meeting on Tuesday evening at West Plains Chapter in the Masonic Hall. Paralee is District Deputy of this area.
On Wednesday she and the Robert Arnetts went to Mountain View, Arkansas where they met friends, Ervin and Bill Smith, had lunch and a jam session.
She had lunch with the United Daughter of the Confederacy at Sean’s Restaurant and a meeting.
Friday night Paralee accompanied Sam and Donna Weaver, from Mountain Home, to an Amaranth meeting in Springfield. They met Jerry Marsh in Marshfield, who accompanied them.
We have concern for the people along the east coast suffering from the effects of Hurrican Sandy.
Ernestine Gaddy had her daughters, Tammy and Theresa (and her daughter) visiting and attending church with her Sunday.
