What a beautiful day to go worship the Lord. It was chilly outside this morning but the sun was shining and God was still blessing us. Sister Shelby Koop led us in worship this morning and we had special prayer for some needs in our church which we believe God will answer.
Don’t forget about our Trunk or Treat Wednesday night from 6 to 8 There will also be a bonfire with hot dogs.
This morning’s message was from Matthew 25-14-19 on Stop Burying Your Opportunity. Pastor Buddy spoke to us about Jesus also going away and wants to involve us in His ministry so we can receive the rewards to give back to Him when He calls us home. The talents represent the opportunities that God has given us and He expects us to use and work with the abilities He has given us. Anytime we put to use the things God has given us He will bless and increase it. When we do nothing we are robbing ourselves and God of the increase He wants us to have. One day He is coming back to settle accounts with us about what we did with our opportunites so don’t bury it but use it. Jesus wants to say well done and applaud your efforts Some of the reasons we bury our opportunities is laziness, we don’t want the responsibiliy. We are unimpressed with it and we are unconcerned with the ones around us or the body of Christ. Don’t wait until it’s too late to use your opportunity. They are not there to be buried, use them no matter how big or small. The enemy wants us to say we are too busy, stop using that as an excuse not to do what God wants. Pastor Buddy does a great job every Sunday bringing us the Word of God .
