Connie Johnson prayed our beginning prayer as we came together on our Lord’s Day. We read from Ephesians 6 for our devotional. Happy birthday was sung to Billy Hodges and Aaron Humbyrd.
A love offering was received for Faith Home. After Sunday school, Danny Johnson prayed the offertory prayer as he and Stan Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.
Pastor Neal, LeaAnn and Erin were given a love gift and cards for Pastor Appreciation Day. We do truly thank God for them.
Praises and testimonies were shared. Eldon Hodges was glad to be back in church again.
Prayer requests were for Glenda Sanders, Gina Smith, Donna Grigg, Justin Combs, lost loved ones, our nation, military, and revivals–oh, how we need it.
Pastor Neal read from Luke 21. Learn the parable of the fig tree, “Know ye that the kingdom of God is near at hand” so watch and pray always. It is so easy to be drawn away by cares of this life.
At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing. Prayer requests were given for the Melvin Dunn family. Testimonies were shared. Pastor Neal shared from Luke 22, it was the Passover and the church people of that day sought how they might kill Him for they feared the people. They should have feared God. Is it different today?
The Salem Church will be holding a revival next week. Brother Van Menzies will be speaking Wednesday night. We will be there, not having Bible study.
Each Tuesday we have a small group come and pray.
Our annual hayride over the hills will be Sunday evening at 4 p.m. We will have a cookout and services there on October 28th.
