Opening the morning service with prayer was Joie Welker.
In our Sunday school lesson we studied how faith gives us courage to speak boldly for our Lord even if we may have to die for our faith.
Happy Birthday wishes went out to Doug Miller and our special song was by the Gentry Singers.

Harley and Faye Allen have a new great grandson, Eli Jacob, 9 lbs. and 1 oz. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ron Allen. The proud parents are Scott and Jennifer Allen.
Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Matthew, chapter 16. The church nature is both devine and human, also strong and weak. The church is the source of our fullfillment. Where would we be if Jesus and his disciples had not spread the gospel.
In our evening service, after singing and testimonies, Bro. Hall’s evening message was from Colossians. This is not our home, we are just passing through. Set your affection on things above not in things on earth. Your character is developed in daily living for the Lord.
Thursday a very large crowd attended funeral service for George Welker here at Gentry Church. Please remember Pauline and family in your prayers.
