Oct. 3 – Caney Church met together Wednesday evening to study and learn more of God’s wonderful word.
We began with congregational singing to praise the Lord. Bro. Hi Lambeth was our leader this week. As we always do prayer requests and praise reports were given. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Bro. Hi read Luke 16:19-31, a very familiar scripture. It is always good to hear. Make your choice to live for God now because there will be no guarantee that you will have another chance. We had a very good discussion on the word of God. 100% of us are going to die. The Bible says you must be born again. Repent and ask Jesus into your heart.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to service. Prayer requests and praise reports were taken. Sis. Elsie Combs led us in prayer. Jack read Proverbs 8:1-11 for our devotion.
After a very interesting Sunday school, praise and worship began with congregational singing. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley and Janice Lafferty. Jim Lafferty and Melissa Harmon both did specials.
Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Hebrews 5:7-9. We are living in the day of Noah. The time is drawing close to the coming of the Lord. Not everybody that says Lord, Lord, will enter in. There is only one way to heaven and that’s through Christ Jesus, the author of our salvation.
We met together Sunday evening to praise the Lord. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. Bro. Jack Essary led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Hi Lambeth, Jack Essary, Janice Lafferty and Bill Austin. We were so glad for the visitors who had wonderful testimonies. We had a missionary from Tanzania, Bro. Augustine Moemba. He spoke from Isaiah 55:7-9. There is power in God’s word. God will never leave us nor forsake us. What God says is true. We must have faith as a child to receive the power of God. Miracles can still be done if only we believe because God is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. He does not change. Without faith we cannot please God.
We were blessed to have these visitors. Come worship with us.
