Sunday morning service was opened with music by the band then congregational hymns. Prayer requests and prayer by Brother Roberts.
Sister Joyce Erickson sang a beautiful special.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Romans 8: 16, “Things That Can Not Be Shaken In Our Lives.”
Sunday evening was a special social dinner with pulled pork furnished by Tony and Linda Stillings, and lots of good side dishes furnished by everyone else.
Having Sunday dinner in the home of Toby and Jacinda Sheppard were Shelden and Kendra Walker, Bob and Nora Edwards, Shawn, Miranda, Braxton and Alexis Swearengin and Dallee Sheppard.
Donna Bannister, Delmar and I drove over to see River Stillwood at her store in Vanzant. We were sad to find she had made a trip for supplies so we missed her but left her a note. She has a lovely little old-time store with some modern additions like pizza, sandwiches and such. We will go another time and visit her.
We enjoyed attending the Miller-Hall reunion on Sunday. We had lots of good food, fun visiting and sharing pictures. We missed several who were sick and just out of the hospital so prayers for them to be well soon.
Delmar and I visited with Mamma, Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams then with Keith and Donna Bannister.
Pauline Okhuysen and I enjoyed a trip to Springfield on Wednesday. We ate at CiCi’s Pizza.
This week I have made Apple Butter which turned out really good. It will sure taste good this Winter when the snow is flying.
We are saddened at the death of a cousin, Lester Sanders and also Misty McFarlin Christesen. Prayers are for the families who have lost their family members this past week.
Remember, when you are still and say “Lord Here I Am,” He will hear you.
