The article for Happy Home Church news was absent for two weeks as I was out of town. If you missed it then I know my time is not wasted. I for one enjoy reading the articles from all the communities to see what is going on and how everyone is doing. Keep up the good work.
We had our Fourth Saturday Night Singing last Saturday night. The crowd was small, but the ones who were there were blessed. Remember, “Happy Home Church Fourth Saturday Night Singing” is every fourth Saturday night of the month. Come and join in for some good fellowship and music. Bring your instruments and music and sing praises to the Lord.
Sister Naomi opened Sunday school with a good morning to all. We sang for Jesus and had many prayer requests. Prayer was led by Sister Peggy. Sister Naomi read scripture from Philippians 4:8-9.
Sunday school began with our leader Sister Mary reading the lesson from II Corinthians 5:1-21. We had comments and discussion from the class. It was a good lesson.
We sang Happy Birthday to Sister Carrie Porter. We took up our Coins For Christ and it was time to sing for the Lord. The choir was small, but in good voice. It doesn’t matter to the Lord, He just enjoys all the joyful noise that we make as we sing the great hymns.
We gave our gifts to the Lord with Sister Alice blessing them with prayer. We had specials from Bro. Dale, Sister Juanita, Sister Peggy and Cheyene Welch. Good job, Cheyene.
Bro. Greg Mosely welcomed all with a good morning and read from Revelations 13:8 and prayed. He brought the morning message from Luke 10:17-22. Great message from the Lord. We closed with a song and prayer. We dismissed with prayer by Sister Peggy.
We began our evening service with our prayer circle. It was small, but the Lord was with us. We again had many prayer requests. Prayer was given by Sister Juanita. We sang for the Lord and had a special by Sister Peggy.
Bro. Mosely brought the message from Matthew 15:21-29. It was a good message from the Lord. We closed with a song and dismissed with prayer by Sister Mary.
Mt. Calvary Church will be having their revival all week beginning September 24-29, each night with a different speaker. Come and be blessed.
