Happy Fall Yall!!!
What an amazing time of year this is. We are planing many van rides to watch the changing of the leaves. The good Lord has truly blessed us!
We would like to welcome back Martha Goodrich to Ava Place. She is recovering well from surgery and is happy to be home. We have two new residents this week. Mike Graham and John Garner. Welcome to the family gentlemen!
Last week we took a van ride to Mansfield to see the Wilder Days events. It was rained out, so we decided to drive around the area. None of us had seen the rock house of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The grounds were beautiful as well as the home. We enjoy our van rides.
There are lots of exciting events coming up that we need the community’s help on. We will be having a fall festival on Oct. 20 from 9-2.
There will be craft booths, food, drinks, entertainment, face painting and tattoos. If you are interested in having a booth space to sale your goodies please contact Babs at mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org. This is our first annual fall festival and we would like to make it an event to remember.
We are also getting ready for the holidays. We would appreciate any candy that can be donated towards handing out Halloween candy. Our residents really enjoy doing this! We are also taking names of those wanting to adopt a resident for Christmas. Please contact Babs at Ava Place for more information.
Our residents are enjoying the cool weather and spending a lot more time outside on the porch. Be sure to honk and wave when you go bye. God Bless and happy fall!!
