We should read our Bibles to learn how Christ lived and follow His example.
Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. He read James 5:7-11 for the devotion and dismissed us to class.
Pastor David prayed for Cody Goforth, Bob Lambert, Wanda Goss and family, April Blackman, Turley family, Tabitha, Jim Satterfield, Betty Satterfield, Justin Coombs, John and Zamber Little, Mike Jones, Marvin Graham, Tiffany and Forrest, Ralph and Dana Brazeal, Dara Strong and family, Beverly Castanada, Kenny Breeding, Jeremy, Chris, Jordan Stewart family and friends, all bereaved, unsaved, unspoken, country and leaders, military and each other.
Brother Bobby Turley took up the tithes and offering.
Dailyn and Lidia Stanifer, Bryse Dodson, Quin and Macee Breeding all did the penny march for Camp Piland.
Sister Betty gave a wonderful praise testimoney on answered prayer.
Pastor David sang and preached from James 5:10-13 on Christ as our example, the example we are to others, and to pray when we need to be a better one.
The children studied Ephesians 4:32. A good one for all of us to read, study and live by.
Sunday evening service began with singing.
Sister Jo Stephens shared a reading by Billy Graham.
Pastor David sang then preached from II Timothy 4:1-17 on Paul’s race and how He was at peace about his life and how he was ready to leave this world. He encouraged Timothy to carry on. We should encourage each other to stay in the race and not turn away from God.
Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 6 in Ezekial. Hay ride planned for October 13 at 5:00 p.m.
