Tuesday, August 28th T.O.P.S. was called to order by Sharon at 3:45 pm. A total of twelve weighed in with a loss of fourteen pounds. Rachel was high loser.
Rosie and Ulla had the lesson “Fairing Well At Summer Fairs.” County fair food is questionable, fried things are the worst, fried snickers, funnel cakes, chocolate covered bacon, 450 to 1000 calories. Having a plan helps us to make the right choices. 1). Snack first, peanut butter on toast and yogurt, drink plenty of water 2). Walk, walk 10,000 squares 3). Celebrate sensibly, grilled meats and vegetables 4). Share with family, portions are big 5). Watch beverages, don’t drink too many sugary beverages or alcohol. Follow these tips and you will fair well at the fair.
T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit, international weight loss support group open to anyone seven years of age or older. The MO #0720 chapter meets every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the basement of the courthouse. Come visit us and sit in on a meeting, if you would like to find out more about T.O.P.S.
