Sunday morning service was opened with Bluegrass Gospel music then prayer requests and prayer.
A beautiful special was done by Waylon Souder.
Brother Roberts brought the message from Acts 28:1-6, “Shake It Off.”
Sunday evening, Sister Maxine Lund brought the first in a series titled, “Being the Church Outside the 120.” She will be bringing the evening message during the month of September.
Alexis Swearengin spent Friday night with Papa Bob and Memaw Nora Edwards, then she spent the rest of the weekend with Papa Toby and Grammy Jacinda, Kendra and Shelden. Her parents came to pick her up and joined Bob, Nora, Jacinda, Toby, Kendra and Shelden for a BBQ and birthday celebration for Toby. Delmar has been mowing and weed eating almost all week. I took my mom, Nora Hunsaker, to Springfield on Wednesday to get her ears and hearing aid checked. We stopped and shopped at Aldi’s then we ate lunch at Hardees in Rogersville.
I went to the doctor and got medicine for bronchitis. I am feeling much better now.
The nights are so nice for sleeping and the days have been delightfully comfortable too.
I have noticed some of the foliage turning colors already and the feel of Fall is definitely in the air.
