Bro. Rick thanked everyone for a great Grandparent’s Day Breakfast. Morning Sermon: Luke 8: 22-25. “What Manner of Man was He?” Bro. Rick said that Jesus impressed him in 3 major ways: (1) His power and authority- examples were calming a raging sea, turning water into wine, flooding, parting the Red Sea, causing water to come out of the rock, etc. (2) His Titles- Savior, The Christ (the anointed one), Immanuel, Intercessor, The King of Kings, The King of the Jews, the Good Shepherd, etc. (3) His Deeds- he did so many good deeds because of who he was: a loving, kind person.
Bro. Rick mentioned many good deeds he had done for people: healing, forgiving, feeding, raising from the dead, etc. Bro. Rick ended by saying,”Jesus is the ‘Best Man’ I know”. For me and my house, I plan to serve the Lord. Each of you have to decide if he is worthy and who you will choose to serve.
