Hello from our home to your home, we are enjoying the beautiful weather around here. Our volunteers are simply awesome around here.
Thanks to Norma Stillings and Bro. Tom Hawkins for starting our week off with some wonderful piano music followed by a church service. Charles Anderson and Danny Ousley have been calling Pokeeno for Maxine Lirley, she is doing better, getting stronger each day.
Bro. Larry Moore is here for Sunday School, and in the afternoon we always have a different church, last Sunday it was Skyline Full Gospel Church. This coming Sunday it will be Sandy Church and the residents will get to see Bro. Bob Siler. Monday afternoon Wilda Potter called games for the residents.
Tuesday resident council voted to have fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn salad and the salad bar with a variety of cream pies for dessert.
Tuesday games were called by Evelyn Harper, a volunteer from Hospice Compassus. Whitney Pollard from Three River Hospice has opened up a Nail Salon during nails for the residents. Mrs. Evelyn will be having knee surgery next Tuesday, we will be missing her for a couple of months.
Wednesday caller was Tina Simmons, and she also visited with several residents while she was here. Darrell Issacs and Connie Burris have van rides on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, each trip is different.
Thursday calling games was Pebbles Jones and Warren Gunter volunteers from Three Rivers Hospice. The residents call them Pebbles and Bam-Bam. Ruth Evans was here and everyone enjoyed going back to the past, 1986. Ruth also visits with several residents while she is here. Karla Miser from Hospice Compassus enjoyed handing out ice cream bars to the residents and staff Thursday afternoon. Friday morning the 1st Sonshine Group is always here at 10:30 singing, visiting and Edgar always does a wonderful devotion. Carrie McIntosh calls games on Friday afternoon, always giving away a little prize.
Our home is busy all the time, come out and visit with our residents. We would like to welcome James Smith, James Hanson, Rick Nelson, Cindy Fitzgerald, Charotte Kloc and Donnie Welch to our home. Congratulations on Cecila Boos, Glenna Edgman, and Ester Hester on getting to go home this week.
