Joie Welker opened morning service with prayer.
In our lesson for Sunday School, we studied confidence in faith. Faith is the ability to trust what we can not see and taking God at his word.
Our special song was by Bro. Bob Huskey.
Pastor Rilley and Judy Hall returned safely from their vacation to the Colorado Rockies, Dakotas, Canada and four of the National Parks. His morning message was from Romans, third chapter, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but we are justified by His grace through the blood of Christ Jesus. Sin will always take you farther than you want to go.
Delores Young was glad to report a good crowd at the Senior Center Saturday morning for breakfast for Miles For Meals.
We observed Grandparent’s Day at Gentry Sunday with the little children passing small gifts to all the grandparents.
Harold and Beulah McGinnis from Marshfield, Keith and I attended the 90th birthday celebration for Mildred Watson Saturday afternoon along with a large crowd.
I am glad to report George Welker is home from the hospital and doing better.
Visiting Harley and Faye Allen over the weekend was their son, Reginal Allen, from the Lake of the Ozarks.
After our morning service we were honored to stay for the wedding of Rocca and David Weyrauch so congratulations to them.
After singing and testimonies to start our evening service our special song was by quartet of Narvil Tetrick, Wanda Canady, Faye Allen and Joie Welker.
Bro. Hall’s message was from I Peter, we are only passing through this world so we should be sober, ready and have hope to the end for the grace that is brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Be ye holy for I am holy.
