September 5 – Caney came together Wednesday evening to praise the Lord and study his word.
Pastor Bill took charge of the service taking prayer requests.. Brother Hi Lambeth led in prayer.
Brother Bill read Mark 1:6-17. This scripture tells us to honor Christ and to show that we believe in Him and want to follow Him. We should be baptized then we need to witness to others around us. We had a very good discussion of God’s word..
I wish everyone could know how interesting it is to come together to study God’s word, to hear others thoughts and learn.
Sunday school opened with singing.
Brother Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests, praise reports and Brother Jim Lafferty led in prayer.
Jack read Psalms 27:1-6 for devotion.
Praise worship began with congregational singing.
Melissa Harmon sang the special music.
Pastor Bill brought the morning message from John 1:35-38. Where do you dwell spiritually?. Make sure that what you do for God is not for selfish, self serving reasons.
Let’s not be in the seat of comfort or satisfaction. Let’s be about God’s work truly serving Him telling others to come see what Christ can do.
A terrific message from God.
After services, we had good food and fellowship, God is so good to bless us.

Pastor Bill brought the evening message from II Samuels &:18-19, I King 8:56-59, Hebrews 2:2-6. Who are we that God would love us so that He would send His son to die for us and promise us a home in heaven. How can we refuse such a great salvation.
Sister Melba closed service with a song.
