Sunday worship services were filled with hymns and praises and Bro. Oren gave a great message from Luke 11:14-28. Once we decide to clean out the sin in our hearts, we need to be diligent in keeping it full of the Holy Spirit. As Bro. Oren’s message says, “A clean house is a dangerous place”. Fill your hearts with the joy of knowing Jesus Christ and there is no way Satan can stand against it. He is no match for our Lord and Savior. It’s a day to day battle but if God is with us, we can’t fail.
Please pray for everyone mentioned on our prayer list. There may be some more familiar than others, but God wants us to pray for everyone. We have people who are in the nursing home and hospitals as well as recovering at home. Remember Dean Davis, Jack Armstrong, Mary Jo Gaston, Irma Evans and Dick Walker. Those are just a few but also remember our military and our nation’s leaders. Our country needs so much prayer in order to start working together in brotherly love.
We want to say Happy 90th Birthday to Mildred Watson.
It’s been a hot, dry summer but it looks like things may cool down soon. We praise God for the rain we have gotten this past week and we continue to pray for more. God knows our needs and we must trust Him to give us want we need in His own time. Patience is not always easy to come by, but if we wait on God’s timing our blessings will be more abundant and joyful. Oh, how easier said than done, but we must work harder at it to obtain those blessings and answered prayers.
We want to invite anyone out there that doesn’t have a church home to join us in worship at either at 8:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. or 6 p.m. on Sunday. We have nursery and children’s church available for all services with awesome volunteers who will love your kids and welcome them. We also have Wednesday night adult bible study at 7 p.m. and we’d like to encourage you to join in. It’s a chance to get into God’s Word and learn from it.
As the days in our week surround us with worldly baggage try to stay above it and ask the Lord for His help to get through. It’s our choice to either succumb and take the easy way out, or be strong in your faith and let the Lord sweep out the trash. He longs for us to show our love to Him by our obedience and our Christian walk.
Have a great week and lean on the Rock. We hope to see you Sunday. God Bless.
