Sister Mary Eaves and Sister Peggy Potts went to the Albert Brumley singing at Lebanon, Missouri. What a wonderful blessing they received. If you enjoy southern gospel music, it is a great singing to attend. There is always lots of good fellowship also.
Sister Naomi opened the morning service with a good morning to all. We sang for Jesus and had prayer requests. There were many. Prayer was by Sister Mary. Sister Naomi read scripture from Proverbs 5:1-2.
Our Sunday school class leader Sister Naomi prayed and read the lesson scripture from I Corinthians 15:1-28. We had comments and discussion from the class. It was a good lesson.
Sister Naomi reported on our church’s outreach program. We gathered school supplies and several went to visit some of the community around our church. We extended an invitation to come and visit Happy Home if they did not have a church of their own and also handing out the school supllies as needed. Those who worked the outreach program felt that it was a success.
We sang for the Lord and gave our gifts to the Lord with Sister Peggy blessing the offering. We had specials by Bro. Dale, Sister Juanita and Bro. Dennis Shumate and family. We had testimonies from the congregation.
Bro. Dennis brought the morning message from Ephesians 6:1-24. It was a good message from the Lord. We closed with a song and was dismissed with prayer by Sister Juanita.
Our evening service began with our prayer circle. We had many prayer requests. Prayer was led by Sister Mary. We sang for the Lord some great old hymns. Bro. Marvin prayed. We had specials from Bro. Dale and Sister Juanita.
Bro. Marvin brought the message from Proverbs 4:23. It was a good message from God. We closed with prayer by Sister Naomi.
Bro. Rick Corneilson will be bringing the message Sunday morning, August 12.
