Still hot and very dry here at Gentryville, but happy for our neighbors in Ava who got a good rain Saturday.
I spent the night with Tracy, Dave, Hannah and Devin Griffith July 5th. Then Tracy and the kids and I came to Ava on Friday. She took them to the swimming pool and me to get groceries and then brought me home.
Last Monday Patty Stephens of Galena came and took me to Mountain Grove for my protime test. We ate lunch at the Pizza Hut, then shopped a little. I’m not much of a shopper.
On Thursday I had to have a new pump put in the well, then this morning (Monday) I have no water again.
Sharon Driskell visited me Friday morning. She, a daughter and a granddaughter had gone to Memphis, Tennessee recently and toured Graceland.
Bill Emery had to see a doctor last week. He hasn’t been feeling good.
Also Ann Collins saw a doctor in Springfield on Friday. Ted and Karen Collins went with her.
Josh and Bailey Hurst spent Thursday with Bertha and Dean Scherer. Bert, Josh and Bailey visited awhile with Ann Collins Thursday morning.
There was a big crowd at the Vanzant Picnic Saturday night. I appreciate Karen and Doug Frederick for lettimg me go with them. The Bluegrass Band, Crosswired, was really good.
Cole and Izzy Bradshaw of Mtn. Grove are spending from Monday until Thursday with their grandma Karen Frederick.
