Sunday, June 24 – there were many requests for prayer. We need to never forget our military men and women and their families also.
Prayer was asked for Norma F. Bevy’s step-dad, Janice U., Tom W. Bud C., Missy’s mom and dad.
We had a very good Sunday school lesson. Linda R. does a great job. We are studying Paul in Acts. How many of us could keep on preaching God’s word when we knew we would lose our life?
The morning message was the faith chapters, Hebrews 11:1and on. How much faith do we really have? My favorite verse, maybe is, now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Sunday morning the church stood and in faith believing prayed for God to send rain
Every church in Ava or I should say, Douglas County, should stand every church service and petition God, to send us rain.
What kind of faith do you have? Do you carry your umbrella in faith believing?
The evening message was by Steve Wilkerson. God had led him to give us a scripture, Matthew 27:46 and about the nineth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
God’s son cried to his father why, god had turned his back on him.
Jesus had called to his people many times down through the years.
When we go on our own way, one day we will cry out to our Father, but it will be too late. Eternity in a darkness, utter darkness and without the Savior’s presence, that’s what hell is and much more.
