“Honor thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged and that it may go well with thee,” Deuteronomy 5:16.
Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. He read Nehemiah 1:5-11 for the devotion. Pastor David prayed for the prayer request and Brother Roy dismissed us to class.
The children studied about David and Goliath in Sunday School and Jonah and the Whale in Children’s Church. They also painted sun catchers for me. They were given coupon books to give to their dads. Thanks to Angie for her help and to Bobby for killing the wasps for us.
We were glad to have Maddux with us. He and Macee Breeding and Austin Maggard did the penny march for Camp Piland.
Brother Bobby took up the tithes and offerings.
We missed those who were gone.
We honored the men of the church with a small gift. Brother Bobby Turley and Brother John Little won the biggest gifts.
We had good testimonies.
Pastor David sang then preached from Deuteronomy 5:6-16 for the Father’s Day message. We dismissed our evening service.
