June 3, 2012. God has blessed us with another beautiful day. Bless you Jesus. Prayer requests were asked for Missy’s Dad, Linda P. family, our nation and unsaved loved ones. Let us all remember the Bernie Hutchison family in the loss of their loved one.
The pastor’s message was in Psalms 37:21-24. The focal verse was 23, “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way. ” Read on to verse forty. There are a lot of good instructions we need to follow.
Sunday evening service was a sermon to give much thought to. A few weeks ago we had a good spirtiual revival. Everyone was on fire for God.
Sunday evening the pastor said, it seemed like we had cooled off, complacent, maybe, pleased with our state of affairs, our situations, our daily life.
It is like unto a bonfire. Jesus is the ever alive beginning of the bonfire. When we turn our lives over to Christ, we are saved, overjoyed, full of great expectations. Our log is on the fire and it is burning bright, then the flame begins to diminish, not all at once, but slowly, we don’t realize it. Our log is away from the fire and beginning to smolder. All it takes is getting back where we started, on the fire so we can burn brightly again for our Lord.
