As I write the article for Happy Home Church today, we are sad at the loss of our former pastor, member and dear friend, Brother Paul Welch. He has gone on to be with the Lord and as he has said many times recently, “I won’t have to carry this oxygen canister anymore.” We will miss him very much. Our prayers go out to his wife, Alice, and all of his family.
We had a good day in the Lord, at Happy Home Sunday. The crowd was small but the good Lord was there. Sister Naomi greeted all with good morning. We sang for Jesus, had many prayer requests and prayer was led by, Sister Juanita. Sister Naomi read scripture from God’s Word. We had Brother Duayne Claxton and family, join us for the morning service. He also was gracious enough to teach the Sunday school lesson from I Corinthians 5. A very good lesson, we had comments and discussion from the class.
We sang to the Lord and gave our gifts to the Lord with prayer by Sister Mary. We had specials by Sister Peggy, Brother Duayne and family. It is always so nice to see a family sing for the Lord. Such a good job! Brother Duayne brought the message from Daniel 5:1-17. It was a good message from our Lord. We closed with a song and alter prayer. Sister Naomi dismissed with prayer.
The evening service began with our prayer circle. Many prayer requests and prayer by Sister Ulla. We sang some good hymns and had prayer by Brother Marvin. Specials were by Sister Peggy, Sister Ulla and Brother Marvin. Brother Marvin brought the evening message from St. John 1:1-5. He gave us a good message, we had prayer and testimonies. We were dismissed with prayer, by Sister Naomi.
Have a great week, keep God in your heart and you will be blessed.
