Wednesday evening Bro. Ludwig led our Bible study over Exodus 21 and part of Exodus 22. We had 10 people attend our Bible study services.
Thank God for our moms and what they have contributed to our life and to the people we are today. We had a wonderful service for Mother’s Day. Pastor Talbert brought forth God’s word from Genesis 3:20 and Proverbs 21:10-31. What is a good mother? Our attendance for morning service was 20. After services Sister Talbert handed out gifts to the mothers from her and Pastor and New Hope handed out potted flowers and Sis. Lori made some beautiful potted arrangements also and handed them out to all the mothers. One of the commandments is to honor thy father and thy mother so it seems only natural to have a day set aside to do so. I thank God that my mom had me in church when I was growing up. Even though I strayed, I came back. Thank God for His promises.
We are in week 5 of our God Seekers group that meets before our evening service. This week the studied scripture was Matthew 24:7-14.
Our evening service started out with prayer and praises to the Lord. We heard several testimonies that touched our hearts and Bro. Ludwig read some scripture. Pastor Talbert continued in Revelation and finished up the 2nd chapter. It has been wonderful and just keeps getting better. We had 20 for our evening services.
So we have a couple of events coming up that we need prayer for and want you to be present for.
W.O.W. starts this Thursday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at New Hope – Women Overcoming the World through Christ. To kick off this first women’s meeting and prayer circle there will be a greeter gift drawing and light snacks to take on the way out. Come join us ladies and bring a friend, sister, mom, grandma, anyone! Also Saturday, May 19 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. we are having revival services. Rev. Curtis Tackett will be the evangelist and we would be honored by your presence and support!
